The form is simple and utilitarian, yet its execution demands precision: clear division of zones, meticulous glaze application, even firing. This is what makes the object whole, despite the contrast of materials.
Similar candle holders are frequently found in Scandinavian and German design from the 1970s. They share a common interest in honest materials, simple forms, and thoughtful details.
