A collection of five utensil rests and two figural toothpick holders, crafted in the likeness of traditional Chinese characters.
Men and women with baskets, umbrellas, and small boxes, as if stepping out of a theatrical play or an ancient engraving.
The two toothpick holders play a special role — they are also mini-vases: one can place toothpicks in them, or a small flower, a dried bloom, or a sprig of spices.
