A pair of vintage silver-plated steel candlesticks, found in France.
Their form is a strict classic with a slight theatrical curve: an elongated silhouette body with figured relief, a rounded stable base, and a concise candle holder.
The metal shines moderately: without a mirror-like gloss, but with sufficient light accent — as if they know they will stand on a white tablecloth and are ready to play their part.
The bottom part features a soft black backing, which isn't visible but you'll appreciate: they don't slip, don't scratch, and cause no concern.
Their weight is like that of an object that knows its worth but doesn't demand protection.
