This decorative ultramarine glass bowl was created by the renowned Czech designer Josef Hospodka for the Chřibská glassworks. It is distinguished by its rich glass hue and the flowing, organic forms characteristic of 1960s design.

About the designer:
Josef Hospodka was a prominent Czech designer who made a significant contribution to the art of glassmaking in the mid-20th century. Born in 1923, Hospodka became known for his work in the Czechoslovak glass industry, particularly during his time at the Chřibská factory.
His design style is characterized by vibrant colors, dynamic forms, and the use of contemporary glass production technologies. Hospodka developed numerous items, such as vases, lamps, glasses, and decorative elements, which became symbols of their era.
He also worked for the famous Moser glassworks, where he continued to develop his ideas and create elegant and modern crystal pieces.

About the Chřibská brand:

Most vintage items have been previously used. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to determine if an item has been used after purchase—even with expert examination. We ask that you consider this when placing an order: returns for vintage items are not provided.
