ON FILM SHOTS AND NOSTALGIA:

From the very beginning, Vanya and I made it a habit to pick up film cameras or a Polaroid if we wanted to take photos for our home archive — it’s about the warm feelings born in childhood, when our parents photographed us.

When I flip through an old photo album at a family gathering and see those warm, carefully taken film photos, my heart fills with joy."

it's a memory that is always with us.
and then will be with our children and grandchildren.

ON PRESERVING STORIES IN PHOTOGRAPHS:

We capture every day.
The shots are varied and simple: Vanya holding our son and singing to him; us having breakfast or cooking together; playing musical instruments; goofing around in a changing room at a mall somewhere in India."

we love to capture our daily life: when we are home, traveling, or embarking on a new adventure.

ON CONTINUING TRADITIONS:

We collect all photos taken with a Polaroid and from analog photo booths. Just like tickets from flights, interesting exhibitions, and train journeys.

we experience happiness when we create and preserve moments dear to our hearts: collecting them in folders, books, framing them, and hanging them on our walls at home.

I observe how people are starting to revive traditions, where photos are pasted into albums so that these fleeting moments can be touched, rather than just viewed on a phone screen. These are completely different feelings.
